The first collection owned by Luwak Resort is Luwak Estate. The definition of the word Luwak itself is the local name of an animal endemic to Indonesia, specifically a civet whose life endures in the most natural and fruitful environment, consuming only the greatest quality and most flawless seeds, fruits, and palms.

Located in a beautiful and natural environment with a building design inspired by traditional Balinese village houses and in the village of Tegallantang Ubud which is still very thick with its cultural customs, an area that extends from the north to the south, the building concept area of the Luwak Estate itself also elongated, where the restaurant and public area are in the middle, implemented as a bale banjar, villa buildings are on the right and left which extend to the sides, which are interpreted as residents’ houses in the banjar of Tegallantang. In the a proximity of Ubud Center and walking distance to the Royal Palace.

Rest and Relax

Each villa has a private angkul-angkul (entrance/gate), a spacious living room with views of the swimming pool and garden, and connects to a private kitchen area and dining room. The kitchen is purposefully placed at the entry, like in a typical Balinese house, to facilitate activities and provide the finest spot to welcome guests.
